My friends and I spent this past weekend at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs and had a great time! I’m obsessed with the Ace Hotel by the way. It has a free-spirited flair with great decor, super friendly staff and a yummy restaurant. If you ever go to Palm Springs and are looking for a more laid-back, hipster vibe then I definitely recommend staying here.

In the heat of the summer, I tend to live in slip dresses. They’re easy to wear, great at keeping you cool and look cute & feminine. For my trip I packed 2 bathing suits, 3 slip dresses and 2 pairs of sandals…that’s it. One of my favorites is this pale yellow, voile and lace slip dress from Free People. I wore it with a white strapless bodysuit from American Apparel for the day and I also used it as a bathing suit cover-up at the pool. It will make a good layering piece too at some point…(I have a vision of it looking great with my brown over-the-knee boots and a snuggly cardigan).
